Tree stumps should be removed to prevent suckering and fungal root rots.

At Aerial Tree Services we use machines known as stump grinders that will grind out the main root leaving fine sawdust, some roots will be left in the ground but most will eventually rot down.

Shallow grinding of around 25cm is normally ok for laying turf allow for deeper 30cm+ if replanting or landscaping.
